Pakistan and Italy have signed a new agreement exempting holders of diplomatic passports from visa requirements, aimed at easing official travel and strengthening bilateral relations.
The deal was concluded in Rome between Pakistan’s Ambassador Ali Javed and Italy’s Foreign Ministry Secretary General Ambassador Riccardo Guariglia, reflecting growing cooperation between the two countries in diplomacy, trade, and multilateral forums.

The two sides also reviewed wider cooperation in areas such as education, science and technology, defence, and labour mobility. Pakistan’s embassy in Rome noted ongoing efforts to facilitate overseas employment opportunities, including a reported quota of 10,500 jobs for Pakistani workers in Italy
