Pakistan is expanding its digital economy through Special Technology Zones (STZs), which are designed to attract technology companies, startups, and foreign investors. These zones offer tax incentives, modern infrastructure, and business-friendly policies to support innovation and growth.
Managed by the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA), several projects are being developed in major cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi. The initiative aims to boost IT exports, create skilled jobs, and strengthen Pakistan’s position in the global technology sector.
Experts believe that successful implementation of these technology hubs could accelerate economic growth and help transform Pakistan into a regional center for innovation and digital services.
